Poppy is a 4-month-old kitten with a heart full of potential and a little bit of caution. This shy, skittish girl may take some time to warm up, but once she feels safe, her sweet nature will shine through. With her soft fur, bright eyes, and a quiet curiosity, Poppy is a kitten who just needs the right environment and a patient family to help her feel at home.
Poppy came to us with a bit of fear from her past, so she can be a little timid around new people and situations. Loud noises or fast movements can startle her, but in a calm and gentle environment, she’s slowly learning to trust again. She’s the kind of kitten who prefers to observe her surroundings from a safe distance before she ventures in, but once she feels comfortable, she’ll be ready to bond with her family.
Though Poppy may need time to adjust, she’s already showing signs of curiosity and playfulness. She enjoys watching toys move and will occasionally bat at them when she feels brave enough. Once she’s had time to settle into her new home, we’re sure Poppy will become more confident and playful — and with patience, she’ll eventually learn to enjoy snuggles and human companionship.
Poppy will thrive in a quiet, patient home where she can feel safe and loved without pressure. She would do best with people who understand that building trust takes time, and she’s sure to reward that patience with affection as she comes out of her shell. A peaceful environment, perhaps with another gentle, confident cat to show her the ropes, would be ideal for her to learn and grow.
If you’re looking for a kitten who may take a little time to get to know, but who will eventually blossom into a loving and playful companion, Poppy could be the perfect match. She’s waiting for the right person to help her feel safe, secure, and loved, and in return, she’ll reward your patience with a bond that’s worth the wait.
