My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Levi is a handsome 1-year-old Black-Mouth Cur mix. This shy boy was picked up as a stray along with his siblings, Finn and Freya, and he is so nervous here at the shelter. Levi is very sweet and is looking for someone to trust. He was scared to go to the play yard for the first time but after a gentle belly rub and a couple of hugs, he was ready to have some treats and play a little. Black-Mouth Curs are generally known to be even-tempered, loyal, and hard-working and we think that once Levi knows he’s safe, he’ll be an amazing dog! We think he could join any family and that he’d do fine with kids, other dogs, and cats but we encourage meet-and-greets with the whole family! Levi is a big boy, so he’ll do best in a home that has some room for him to run and play.
The adoption fee is $50 and before Levi leaves the shelter, he will be neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations.

More about this shelter

Caddo Parish Animal Services is an open-admission shelter meaning no homeless animal is turned away. Our goal is to reunite lost pets with their owners and when that is not possible, find a new home for them, provided that they are healthy and not aggressive.
