Champ`s Compatibility: Dogs - Meet & Greet Cats - Unknown Kids - Yes, teens are more his speed!
Champ is a young, spirited pup who’s looking for a dedicated adopter who can help him build confidence and fine-tune his manners. At heart, he’s a social dog who thrives with other canine friends. Champ has lived with multiple dogs, gets along well with them, and loves to play—especially with toys! He’s a big, bouncy guy who might need a little help learning his own strength, but with the right guidance, he’ll be the best friend to both his new family and any dog siblings.
Champ’s ideal home would be calm and steady, with older teens or adults who’ll appreciate his lively personality and commit to helping him shine. He’ll do well with regular, gentle training sessions and plenty of exercise to channel his energy in positive ways. He’s learning to be crate-trained and sees his crate as a safe place, and he’ll love an active routine that includes walks and mental challenges.
This playful, loyal dog is ready to make a fresh start. He just needs a patient adopter who understands his needs, and he’ll repay them with endless love and enthusiasm. Come meet Champ and discover the potential in this affectionate, eager-to-learn pup!

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.
This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
