Name: Blue Boy Animal ID: A654922 Age: 6 years Weight: 58 lbs.
About: Blue Boy is a 6-year-old blue and white Pit Bull mix who was sadly abandoned on a property. Thankfully, a kind neighbor looked after him for a few days before he was brought to the shelter. He is very friendly with people and has been described by staff as a big crazy puppy despite his middle age. The neighbor informed us that Blue Boy has had issues with containment and previously jumped his 6-foot wall and fatally injured a smaller dog. Additionally, when he was roaming, he was involved in altercations with other dogs in the neighborhood. He needs a patient and savvy owner who can provide him with outlets for his energy and a safe and secure environment. A securely fenced yard is essential, as well as a home where he is welcomed indoors with his family.
Blue Boy may do best as an only dog, but can potentially live with a well- matched canine companion. He has been playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup at the shelter but may be too forward for some dogs. A well- managed dog intro and continued supervision in the home is required. With consistent training and a patient and understanding owner who will manage interactions with other animals, Blue Boy will thrive in a home environment.
Available for long term foster care 30+ days or adoption through PACC.
Interested parties: • Must visit PACC before the 5:00 PM November 15, 2024, deadline to meet with an adoption or foster counselor who will go over notes and then introduce you to ensure that it’s a good fit.
