Dogs? Possibly, I have a history of being dog friendly but had some scary interactions that may have changed my mind. It would probably be best to be the only dog in the home and then maybe I will be ready to meet other dogs slowly and carefully in the future.
Cats? Possibly, I have co-existed with cats in the past.
Kids? I have a very good history with older (10yrs+) children, but no known history with small children.

at 719-395-2737 after you submit your application to ensure that we have received it. You can
also give us a call if you have any questions or would like to learn more about a specific animal.
Walk-ins are welcome during our open hours Monday-Saturday 12-5pm, although an adoptable
animal may be in a foster home instead of at the shelter, so we also recommend calling us prior
to driving to the shelter to confirm the pet`s current location. If you prefer emailing instead, you

Note: We do not DNA test our animals to determine breeds. The listed breed(s) are either an
educated guess from staff based on physical characteristics, or from information given by their
previous home.
