Watson is an intelligent and cuddly pup that loves to fetch and steal the occasional sock! Found abandoned in Manhattan in August 2024, Watson is around 2 years old and 16 pounds. His a miniature schnauzer and terrier mix. Initially withdrawn around humans/dogs, Watson now diligently follows his rescue mom throughout the apartment and confidently plays with his older canine sibling. He loves treats and wants to learn; he sits on command and is already potty trained! Though Watson does well with his fur sibling and small dogs at the dog park, he is nervous and scared around big dogs. He also displays leash reactivity on walks. Unfortunately, this has resulted in occasions where he attempts to bite other dogs. During his attempts to lunge at dogs, he has nearly bitten his rescuer. On walks in the city, he is on “high alert” and experiencing anxiety. He needs a home in a less busy environment, with a loving and patient human that can give him the training and attention he deserves!
