They are a bonded pair of male chihuahua's. They came to us from a hoarding situation where they stuck together to get through it. They are only deserving of a life together through the good times too! They are about 5 years old? and complement each other quite nicely! Ricky is the more outgoing of the two. Fred will hang back. While they march around outside with pride, inside they are both happy to be in their inmate's lap.
So why are these mild-mannered little tater tots in the prison? We wanted to give them every possible chance of finding a great, loving forever home. When you grow up in a hoarding situation you miss out on even the basics - leash, crate and house training. You also miss out on fundamental social skills. Even though both of these boys know sit, stay, down and come, they also have good manners. Where once, they wouldn't even let you touch them, they have pushed through their fear and have learned that a little bit of curiosity can bring on a lot of attention! Some family will be very lucky to adopt them. They are ready to go and promise hours of endless entertainment and love.
If interested in adopting Fred & Ricky, we are placing them together. Our process begins with submission of our online application which can be found at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com. Additional adoption FAQ's can be found there also. Meets will be set with approved applicants. We employ a fit/focus approach to our adoptions, and we feel they'll do best in a quiet home where their owner will continue to get them out and about to enjoy life! Thank you!
