Hi there, I'm Flora! I came to The Love Pit needing a lot of TLC (and kibble!), but with love and care, I'm finally starting to feel like myself again. My foster says I'm "pretty near perfect, and I have to admit, I'm quite the easy-going, sweet-natured girl!
I'm a laid-back gal who loves to go with the flow, especially if that flow includes endless petting and cuddles. When I go to TLP events, I'm all about the attention-I wag my tail the whole time and can't get enough of those rubs. I love being around people and showing off my happy, calm demeanor.
Walks are a favorite of mine, and I find water absolutely fascinating! Oh, and sunbathing? That's my jam. I'll lounge outside, soaking up the rays, especially if I've got a Benebone to chew on. Car rides are a blast, too-I'm always up for an outing with my people.
I'm also a big fan of my crate. It's my cozy spot, and with a little more training, I'll keep building my confidence and be the best companion you could hope for. I'm adaptable and easygoing, so I'd fit right into just about any family. A backyard would be a bonus so I can enjoy some outdoor chill time.
I've come a long way since I first arrived, and I'm getting better every day. Now, I'm ready to find a loving home where I'll be a cherished part of the family. If you're looking for a sweet, loyal, and oh-so-lovable companion, I think I might just be your girl.

We are a foster/volunteer based 501c3 nonprofit dog rescue in Dallas, Texas. Our mission is to reduce the number of homeless pit bull type dogs in shelters and on the streets through rescue, rehabilitation, education, and advocacy.
Our goal is to educate the public about a breed that often falls victim to breed specific legislation, discrimination, and cruelty and promote responsible pet ownership through spay/neuter initiatives, vaccinations, and training resources.
