My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Seance is the epitome of a calm and cuddly companion. She has a sweet, affectionate personality and a gentle way of asking for more love with an adorable paw tap when she's in the mood for extra pets. Seance enjoys spending her day lounging on the couch or snuggled up on her favorite human's lap. She loves to perch up high-her current go-to spot is the top of the cabinets-where she can keep a watchful, contented eye over everything. Though she's not always looking for playtime, she does enjoy chasing teaser toys when the mood strikes. But more than anything, Seance is happiest finding a warm, cozy spot to curl up, whether it's on your chest or nestled beside you on the couch. Her ideal day is filled with gentle pets, soft blankets, and a comfy place to relax, making her a wonderfully calm and affectionate companion.

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
