TJ must stand for total joy, because that's all we feel when we're around this guy! TJ Booker is a sweet and wiggly boy who was found tied to a tree in Philly. Since getting to the shelter TJ has shown that he loves making friends- with humans and dogs alike! He is VERY submissive and tolerant with his doggie friends and will gladly meet your resident dog ahead of an adoption.
TJ is available for adoption at ACCT Philly. You can meet him any day from 10am-6pm.

Behavior:
Per Staff 11/10/24:
BEHAVIOR EVALUATION: TJ Booker
KNOWN HISTORY:
Stray
KENNEL PRESENTATION:
TJ Booker was in his kennel with neutral semi soft eyes and a wagging tail. He came up from on his bed and sniffed the leash as I slowly put it in. Heleash dodged many times and by chance I was able to loop from ear to ear. Once secured he came right out.
LEASH SKILLS:
Pulls moderately
HANDLING:
In the room, TJ Booker searched around for treats and vacuumed some off the floor. He allowed all handling but got riled up and would get mouthy and very jumpy. He has no spacial awareness and banged his head on everything while walking off like it never happened. He took treats very snatchy and knew how to sit but wasn't very patient and would jump up. TJ is a social butterfly and played with a staff member when they entered the room and flinched a couple times when staff threw the toy for him to catch. He was very gentle with play and taking the toys and even brought them back but wouldn't drop them for me.
PLAY:
Interest - can get mouthy
TOYS:
Interest and will trade for a treat
Per Volunteer 11/10/24:
When I approached TJ Booker's kennel he calmly came up to me with a very wiggly and loose body. He's great on leash with minimal pulling! Very handler oriented- he got right in my arms anytime we stopped for a break. Very jumpy boy- he likes being in your arms. He loves treats and took them gently but jumped a lot when he saw them come out. Took pets from me all over and remained very loose. So dog friendly!!! He had a meet with Manny- he is super submissive and tolerant. He was very calm and loose while meeting and got on the ground while Manny sniffed him and climbed all over him.
