Manny wants to be your new man(ny)!! Manny was found as a stray in Philly when he was transported to the open intake shelter. Since getting to the shelter he has been a bit overly excited but shows that he is in his element when meeting other doggo pals!
Manny is now available for adoption at ACCT Philly. You can meet him any day from 10am-6pm.

Behavior:
Per Volunteer 11/10/24:
Manny is such a wiggly dog. He was very excited to be outside - we did a dog meet and he's very physical- loves to wrestle and paw. He also attempted to mount but could be redirected. TJ Booker ( his dog friend) was very tolerant and a good playmate. He is very skinny and can be snatchy with treats. He does become aroused and exciteable with humans and for that reason I did evaluate him as blue today.
Per Staff 11/10/24: BEHAVIOR EVALUATION: Manny
KNOWN HISTORY:
Stray
KENNEL PRESENTATION:
Manny was on the backside of his kennel and ran over with neutral eyes and a wagging tail when called. He jumped up on the bars and was very excited to exit, dodging the leash and putting his paws and nose through it. I was able to leash him while distracting with treats and once secured he came right out.
LEASH SKILLS:
Pulls minimally/moderately
HANDLING:
In the room, Manny went up on me and jumped up constantly on me and would not get down. He would mouth in the air while on me and occasionally grab on my leg. He was not super aroused and would get down after a while but it could be very repetitive for some as he was not able to be distracted the first couple of times. He allowed all handling but would get very aroused and overstimulated, darting his head around me and rubbing against me. When I went to a lower level he would also get very aroused and tried to climb on my head and mount me. He was moderately easy to get off and can be redirected if you throw treats on the floor.
PLAY:
Interest - got very excited and aroused and will mount you. He can get mouthy and will hold on but I was able to put my knee up and short arm him. He tried to be persistent with it but he is smaller and easy to hold away.
