Sophie-Acct-A-177568 is a 5-year-old, spayed female who was an owner surrender due to the owner moving.
Behavioral:
11/12 Staff noted: "Sophie was very difficult to leash in kennel today due to her stress. She was screaming, leaping in the air, wacking me with her feet, trying to push out and was very frantic. once the leash tightened, she began to gator roll and then whined and screamed on leash the whole time outside. She did well for her dog meet but remained extremely stressed.
11/11 Staff noted: "Screaming in her kennel all morning, appears stressed.
11/9 Staff noted: "Sophie was on the front of the kennel running in circles with a wagging tail and neutral eyes. She was alert barking when I tried to leash her and ran back and forth but once secured, she came right out. She pulls minimally/moderately. Sophie came into the eval room very nervous and avoidant, pacing around the room and avoiding the handlers. She did not want to greet anyone and continued to whine when another handler came in. She took the treats gently and even hesitantly took some from another staff member. With handling she avoided eye contact with the handler but when the handler stopped petting her, she solicited for head pets, rubbing her face into the handler's body. She had her tail tucked the majority of the time but was very tolerant. she had nervous play. tucked tail. With toys she perked up and gave some sweet wags for toys but no further possession.
On 11/8 Owner noted "She has medium energy, and she is friendly with strangers, children, cats and dogs. She knows sit, walks on a leash and is crate trained.
Medical:
11/8 On intake exam: "Eyes clear. Ears a little bit of wax. Nose was clean. Mild staining on teeth. Gums are pink. Overall coat and skin were clean but had some shedding. Sophie was bright, alert, and responsive, shy but friendly.
