Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I'm Tot, an American male guinea pig that was born on 5/28/22 to mom, Lottie who was surrendered by her family due to overpopulation of guinea pigs. I am bonded with my buddy, Papi and we were recently surrendered by our adopted family since they were unable to care for us. I am a little shy. However, I am getting braver every day. I will take food from your hand, but not sure about head scratches yet. I am a little pickier with food, but loves lettuce and carrots. Both piggies have a healthy appetite and love to explore outside of their cage! If you are interested in making us a part of your family, please see below.
To adopt, go to the "ADOPTION" tab on our website www.ogpr.org and complete the REQUIRED 4 steps.
We ask for a minimum donation of $50 per guinea pig made to the rescue. One free wellness check at our specified vet is included with each adopted guinea pig.

The Oakhurst Guinea Pig Rescue is based out of Decatur, Georgia. We are a foster based rescue so we DO NOT have a brick and mortar building. All of our guinea pigs live in foster homes and once your application is accepted, we will schedule a meet and greet appointment for you to meet and adopt a pair of guinea pigs or a single guinea pig ONLY if you have a single guinea pig that needs a buddy. GUINEA PIGS SHOULD NOT LIVE ALONE BUT IN PAIRS OR MORE.
