Meet Elvira, a bright and happy girl who's been on quite the journey back to health and is now ready for a loving home! Elvira came in with an upper respiratory infection and a fever, but she's responded beautifully to treatment and is now eating, playing, and more energetic than ever. She prefers to eat her food straight from your hand, enjoying the company of a friend while she dines!

Though she still has mild, occasional tremors (suspected to be from past distemper exposure), her symptoms have greatly improved, and she's shown no progression of any neurological issues. Elvira is a little shy at first but is a total sweetheart who loves gentle companionship.

If you're looking for a sweet, resilient companion, Elvira is ready to bring her bright spirit to your home!

Using the provided contact form here or on the APA! website, you can send an inquiry on the animal(s) you are interested in.

Step three:
Our adoption team will connect you to the foster home or someone at the shelter location where the animal is currently living to learn more about the animal and potentially set up a visit!

Step four:
After meeting the animal you would like to adopt, instructions for completing the adoption paperwork, scheduling an appointment, and picking up your new family member will be shared with you!
