My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you ask us, we don’t know how this handsome Ham hasn’t found a home yet. Here is what Hambone’s foster has to say about his time in her home;

“Hambone is such a lovable soul and just wanted to be by my side always! He was very well behaved in the home, with no destruction incidents or bathroom accidents. He was polite in his crate, if he had to be left alone too. He loves to show off all of his tricks, and when it was mealtime he even showed me “wait” until i said “go ahead.” His favorite treat was cheese and he finishes his meals.

Hambone is very playful and active. He loves to run! We loved working on some agility and he can jump very high. He loves to catch his frisbee and ball in midair too. After playtime though, Hambone is the most calm boy, and he loves to snuggle up. Wherever I was, he’d want to be- he’s a very affectionate and sweet dog!”

Go meet their pets

We’re so excited that you’re considering adopting from Nashville Humane Association. We’re located at 213 Oceola Ave in West Nashville, near the intersection of White Bridge Road and Charlotte Pike, and are open from 10AM until 5PM TUE through SUN (closed Mondays). We’re also closed every TUE-THUR from 12-1PM for “Quiet Hour.” As a quick heads up, our adoption process takes about an hour, and all adoptions must be finalized on-site at the shelter, so if you’re planning to visit and adopt, be sure to make accommodations for time.
