Beethoven and his brothers are Great Pyrenees/Anatolian mixes who are being raised in a loving foster home with big and small dogs, cats, and children. They are loving life where they have a warm bed, plenty of food and spend their days playing, running, and taking naps before they do it all again! Beethoven is a super chill dude whose favorite pastime is lounging in the shade and laying at the feet of his family. He is very docile and will reward you with a tail wag for a scratch behind his fluffy ears! He loves his brothers and is very respectful of the other dogs in the home—big and small. He is great with the kiddos too. This boy will need a home with a canine sister, a family who has plenty of time to continue his training, and a secure, fenced yard to keep him safe. Beethoven would also like to request a big shade tree to take naps under and a big fluffy bed in his new home! Medical: Pup will be placed on a spay/neuter contract with a date specified for the spay or neuter procedure to be performed by. Dewormed, negative for heartworm, up-to-date on vaccinations and currently on flea, tick and heartworm preventative. This dog travels with a Interstate Health Certificate required by the USDA confirming that all the above criteria have been met.

Fees: Adoption fees are determined on a sliding scale depending on age, location and transport. Fees for dogs adopted locally start at $400 and can range up to $700 for puppies under six months. Puppies placed on spay/neuter contracts receive $100 back when the dog is spayed or neutered. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. Fees for senior dogs (7 or older) and foster dogs will be adjusted accordingly.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
