Additional adoption info

Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescue! Adoption literally saves lives. When you adopt from our rescue, you enable us to pull another dog from a shelter, which saves the life of another dog and creates more space at the shelter so that new dogs can be kept longer.

The first step is to submit our online application. Please make sure it’s complete : )

If the application is approved, we will make arrangements for you to meet any dogs in your area that you may be interested in and that fit your requirements.
Once you have decided to adopt a dog, you will need to complete the adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee. The adoption fee helps us to recover a portion of the expenses we routinely incur in rescue (boarding, vaccinations, worming, spay/neuter if age appropriate, and transport) so that we can continue to save other dogs. Please see our adoption agreement for further information on this process.

More about this shelter

The Hotel is an animal care facility and adoption center located in Cumberland, Rhode Island. In addition to our facility, we have foster homes located throughout New England. We are a group of dedicated animal lovers who rescue animals from euthanasia at overcrowded county shelters and pounds, as well as abandoned animals, litters found in fields, inhumane situations and other homeless animals in need. Our goal is to care for these rescues until they find their forever homes.

We are also committed to educating the public about responsible pet care. The animals in our care are fully vetted and spayed or neutered. They are treated regardless of age, breed, or medical cost. The Hotel receives no state funding or government assistance. We survive by the donations of caring people, fund raising and adoption fees.
