My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet us at the JV Mall on Sunday, November 17th from 11am to 1pm
JV Mall @ The Valley Collective Store (it's upstairs in between Launch Boutique and the As Seen On TV store by the food court).
650 Lee Blvd
Yorktown Heights, NY 10598

We are Reba's pups! Our mom was taken from a home that had a lot of dogs, including a bunch of our older siblings our mom had in a previous litter. Mom was pregnant with us and PawSafe NY was so excited to take us in. She arrived in NY to foster on September 29th and she gave birth to us on October 1st, talk about cutting it close! We have been fostered with children and dogs in busy homes with lots of activity. At 5 weeks we weigh between .9 pounds to 2.9 pounds and should stay on the smaller side as we grow up. We are playful, cute, spunky and love to play with our mom and our foster humans. Mom was labeled as a Small Mixed breed dog in the under 24 pounds range full grown, since we don't know our daddy, our size is a best guess.

**** We can be pre-adopted on 11/17 with pick up on 11/26 on our 8-week birthday at our foster home in Stormville, NY.

IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. NYS Markets and Agriculture law 377-a requires a deposit for an unaltered pup at the time of adoption, which is in addition to your adoption fee, the deposit is $50. There is a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 30 days of adoption and/or by 6 months of age. The deposit will be refunded once the contract has been fulfilled and proof has been sent to PawSafe.

*Due to state laws regarding out-of-state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts.

Additional adoption info

Our volunteers have made a commitment to ensure that the animals we place will be in their new home for life.

Once an application is submitted, a volunteer will work with you to meet the puppies that interest you.

Please plan on meeting the animal you are interested in adopting. Although the pictures and descriptions may show the "perfect" pet for you - nothing replaces an actual meeting!! You can not place an animal on hold. This is unfair to both the animal and other potential adopters.

ADOPTION FEES:
Please read the Q&A's on our website for adoption fee information and what is included.

PawSafe's dogs and puppies stay in both foster care and are kenneled. If you are interested in a specific dog please make an appointment so we can be sure the dog is at the shelter when you'll be visiting. Otherwise you are welcome anytime we're open!

Visit our shelter at:
348 Old Colony Rd

If you'd like to bring a donation for the dogs, we're always in need of old towels, sheets, paper towels, laundry detergent, and bleach.

More about this shelter

We work very closely with rescues in southern states to find new homes for dogs and puppies who deserve a family despite their state of origin.

Most of the puppies in our care come from over-crowded shelters in states with extreme over population and high kill rates. Our main goal is to place orphaned and unwanted animals into loving permanent homes.
