Meet Elphaba, a friendly 3-year-old beagle weighing 43 lbs, with a heart as big as her love for people! Elphaba is a social butterfly who loves saying hi to everyone she meets on her walks, spreading smiles wherever she goes. House-trained and well-behaved, she also enjoys the company of other dogs and gets along beautifully with them. But it's her way of showing affection that really steals the show-she'll gently place her paws in your lap and stare lovingly into your eyes, her face just inches from yours. It's her way of saying, "I'm yours, forever. Sweet, loyal, and full of love, Elphaba is ready to be your new best friend!

Fill out our adoption application at heartsandbonesrescue.org and our adoption team will be in touch about next steps within a few days.

Meet the Pet

The best way to meet our pups is via private meetings or at adoption events. We host these weekly at various locations around NYC.

Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoption fee ranges from $275-$550 and covers the costs of vetting, boarding, transportation, and other necessary items for our dogs.

Hearts & Bones Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based rescue with dual bases in New York City, NY and Dallas, TX. We are dedicated to ending the needless euthanasia of shelter dogs through direct lifesaving, shared learning, and community building. Our incredible network of rescue partners, fosters, volunteers, and a small but mighty staff work together to save dogs in the areas where shelters are under the greatest stress, and unite them with loving adopters ready to give them the lives they deserve.
