Meet Mike and family!

Mike was rescued along with his mother (a black short hair kitty) and his 11 siblings!
Poor mama cat. She had 3 different litter babies still with her 2 litters who are approx. 6-9 months and the latest litter who was only about a month old when the whole family was rescued.

The poor family all had been trying to survive in an bad situation and had both internal and external parasites, thankfully rescued in time as sadly 2 of the siblings of the youngest litter did not survive within 48hrs of rescued as they were badly malnourished and starving. Thankfully the rest of the family did great during recovering and healing.

Mike and Michele are 2 siblings from the same litter and look very much alike. Like most males Mike is just a little bigger than his sister Michele. His sibblings and mom are still available for adoption as well.

Mike is a HANDOME teenager.  He had been fostered in a home with cats and dogs when first rescued and taken into foster care for recovery. Now that is healthy enough he has been neutered and currently boarding at the vet clinic for lack of foster parents. We would REALLY love to find an adopter for this sweet shy handsome teen who acts timid when he first meets people but quickly melts in your hands when he is being petted. He particularly LOVES head petting and chin scratches and seeks your attention.
He loves to play with toys and mostly goes crazy for the wand feather toy. He would do best in a home with another cat maybe one of his siblings if you are interested in adopting 2 friends/siblings. As you can imagine growing life up his whole life he was surrounded by other cats so a home with a resident cat would be amazing BUTnot a requirement and we believe he will adjust to being the only cat in the home if need be as long as the humans are home often to provide companionship.

We do offer foster to adopt trials if an applicant has other pets, children in the home or if a home looking for a single cat to make sure Mike is happy being the only cat and/or to see if he and the other resident pets get along.

To foster with no intent to adopt - submit a foster application
to adopt or foster with intent to adopt - submit an adoption application at ARWOB.org
He is currently in the 92111 zip code.

More about this rescue

The A.R.W.O.B. group is based in San Diego, CA and operates mostly in Mexico as well as Southern California and will come to the aid of any animal in need which crosses our path. Our belief is to do what we can in order to “Make a difference in their lives.” From experience we have observed and feel the companion animals of Mexico are in the greatest need and accordingly we focus much of our efforts in Baja, Mexico. However, we certainly extend our help to our north of the border critters by accepting relinquished family pets, exiting both dogs and cats from the shelters of San Diego and of course by working in conjunction with other animal rescue groups in the community
