Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Are you ready for a companion who's as sharp as a tack and has energy to spare? Look no further than Jackson! This large pup is a bundle of intelligence and enthusiasm, and he's on the hunt for a loving home that can keep up with his zest for life. This brainy guy is happiest when he's mentally engaged. Without mental challenges, he might get bored and find creative ways to entertain himself (which can sometimes lead to mischief). Puzzle toys, obedience training, and interactive games are his jam and once he's had a day of fun, he loves to snuggle up to the people he cares about most. All he needs now is a chance.

The Michigan Animal Rescue League (MARL) is one of southeast Michigan’s most established animal shelters, serving the community since 1953. Our history and experience combined with constant evaluation of trends in animal welfare and sheltering have made us a necessary and respected asset within our community. As, “A Different Breed of Shelter” we challenge the stereotypes of traditional animal shelters and believe that the, “Quality of the Wait,” can make all the difference in the future of an animal.
Our Mission
The Mission of the Michigan Animal Rescue League is to provide the highest quality of life to dogs and cats through rescue, medical care, socialization and behavioral support, short- and long-term sanctuary, adoption, and community education and outreach.
