HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway foster program, which gives cats a vacation from the shelter and lets them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please contact Mary at mmccarroll@arl-iowa.org or Carol at cgriglione@arl-iowa.org.
---
- An extremely sweet, lovable cat who welcomes attention
- Is very playful and enjoys his cat toys
- A serious cuddle buddy and lap cat
- Enjoys sleeping with his humans
- Has lived with other cats and did well with them
- Unknown history with dogs
- He is very friendly to quiet adult visitors after observing for awhile from afar
- Young, noisy or busy children are too much for him, so he's looking for a mature home that's calm and predictable
- Is afraid of the sound of plastic bags or garbage bags
- Looking for a patient adopter who will give him time to settle into his new home on his terms; he will likely be shy and hide for a few days until he realizes he is safe and loved
- Will be a wonderful friend for a calm, patient person who loves the quiet life just like he does
- Has lots of love to give once he has settled into his new home and is ready to live the good life he has always deserved
- This cat has been diagnosed with diabetes and is currently receiving daily insulin injections and eating a prescription cat food. He is very good about getting his injections, so he needs an adopter who is willing to continue with this ongoing care, including routine veterinarian exams
All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age)
