Meet Archie 👋

Meet Archie! This sweet little scruffball may look like a tiny old man, but he’s estimated to be a spry 1 year old! At around 9 pounds, Archie is the perfect size for the uppies he so enjoys. He is a lovable lap dog who simply adores snuggling up for a nap or nosing your hand for more pets.

Found wandering the streets he ran up to his rescuers, and now we want to find him that forever home that’ll give him all the affection he craves. He’s still learning about treats but has discovered a love for little stuffed toys. He is doing fantastic with his crate at night, and is potty trained.

Peace Love and Paws Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit, animal welfare organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of stray, neglected and abused animals. Peace Love and Paws Rescue is completely funded through fundraising efforts and public donations. All of our pets are cared for by foster homes and receive complete medical care, which includes worming, vaccinations, spaying/neutering and microchipping prior to their adoption.

This questionnaire is designed to help Peace Love and Paws Rescue determine if a specific dog is the right match for you and your household. All adopting and fostering parties are required to complete this form prior to adoption. Peace Love and Paws Rescue reserves the right to deny any adoption or fostering based on answers to this questionnaire and/or interviews prior to adoptions and placing foster homes!

More about this rescue

We are three passionate, animal loving dog moms who met through various volunteer efforts at local rescues in the Detroit area. We continued talking outside of volunteering and quickly came to realize that we all had similar goals, to help as many animals in need that we possibly could. In the Detroit area, there are so many animals who need homes, medical attention, and love.

We decided that we wanted to be able to do more to help these animals. We are raising funds through selling merchandise, fundraising, donations, and supporting local community events. All funds raised will be used to establish a nonprofit status, fund the medical needs of local dogs, and find shelter animals their furever home.
