My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Leon, your new best friend, a nearly 3-year-old German Sheperd Husky mix with eyes that will melt your heart and a goofy nature that will make you fall in love from the first kiss! He definitely likes attention and will let you know if he is feeling ignored. He will be vocal if he needs to go out, is hungry, or just wants you to pet him or give him a belly rub. He likes car rides and walks but can pull hard on the leash especially until he gets out some of his energy.

He does have experience with kids and living with another dog, but he would do best in a home without young kids and other pets. He can be protective of his family in the home, but when he is out, he is very good at meeting strangers and wants to lick them.

He is crate and house trained. He has also been trained to stay off the furniture and out of bedrooms. He knows some commands including sit, lay down, come, no, and stop.

Leon is microchipped and up to date on all shots. All that's lacking is a dose of love from you to fill the empty space in his heart! No dog loves like a rescue dog and words are not adequate enough to describe that feeling! It is pure joy that you have to experience for yourself to be able to understand it! So, what are you waiting for? Allow Leon to fill that void in your life that you may not know you have!

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process encompasses several steps in an attempt to ensure the best possible placement of an animal with the most appropriate home. In addition to an application and time spent with the dog of interest, a home visit with the candidate is also a step in the adoption. We do charge an adoption fee as well as require the execution of an adoption agreement.
