My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gunner is the total package. He is beyond GORGEOUS, a cuddle bug, a love bug, a playful young man, and a true #boss. How do we define #boss in the rescue world? Simple - Gunner is HOUSE TRAINED & KNOWS COMMANDS (sit/paw). Yes, you read that correctly. He could probably be hired to train a few humans he is THAT perfect. Oh wait...we aren't done bragging yet... car rides - Gunner LOVES car rides and does very well in the car. Leash walking - this slice of awesomeness walks like he is on the red carpet, smooth and rhythmically. Children - he does well with them, too.

This AMAZING soul found his way to CRCPA due to no fault of his own. His prior owner's living situation changed, and we are so grateful they trusted us to find this GENT his FURever home and family.

Gunner LOVES people. People are his TRIBE.

If there was an opportunity for a K9 to be a firefighter, Gunner would be a Chief. He can dive and do the 'stop, drop, and roll' in blankets like no one's business. It is the CUTEST thing on the planet and would definitely score him an officers position with the local fire company.

Gunner is JOY. Whether it is watching him 'stop/drop/roll' or stand at full attention when he hears a squeaky toy (can you say Sgt. Chief Gunner), he will bring so much laughter into your life. He is a teddy bear - a soft boy that loves to cuddle with his tribe. Don't be fooled by his muscles, he is a softie but don't tell him we said that. Ha! Gunner loves long walks with his TRIBE/person. He also enjoys a beautiful sunset, so long as he is with his TRIBE.

Gunner is ready and truly deserves to find his FURever family and love them unconditionally and receive the same in return.

Gunner would prefer a cat-free home (no offense to cats, they just aren't his 'twist') and although Gunner can be dog reactive, if there is another dog in the home, a few meet & greets will be needed to make sure the match it a good one.

This boy is pure love & perfection. His FURever family are going to be the luckiest people on the planet. Gunner is going to brighten the lives of everyone in his FURever family. If you think you see colors now, wait until Gunner is part of your family.

Gunner is what best friends are made of: unconditional love, grace, kindness, and JOY!
