My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Script is looking to re-write his story!

This delicate little gentleman came from a colony of neglected & abandoned cats. Having never been socialized around humans, Script and his friends were incredibly nervous, and afraid. After much work, he is slowly finding humans (and their treats) acceptable.
Script has found a love for chin and ear scritches, crunchy treats, and soft blankets. He takes his time to warm up and to come out to say hello, but when he does, he will purr and roll with every pet. We're hoping with the right family and enough time, this sweet boy can show more of his inner lovebug personality.

Due to his background, we are looking for a quiet home, with patient, experienced people who are willing to work with Script's needs. Another cat to show him the ropes may help him open up a bit more, but it is not a requirement.

Are you the happy ending to Script's story?

Script is on anti-anxiety medication and will likely need to come to his new home with them. Due to his medication needs he will be "foster to adopt", which we will happily explain when you come to meet this handsome boy.

For adoption applications:

1. Submit an online application and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit. Kindly note that due to the high number of applications, we will only be contacting suitable potential adopters to further review their interest.

OR

2. Visit the Surrey BC SPCA at 16748 50 Ave, to meet Script to learn more about their ideal match and apply to adopt in person.

If you are invited to meet Script please come prepared with a cat carrier as we do same-day adoptions if the meet goes well. We recommend being prepared with a litter bin, litter, food and water dishes, and toys before bringing your new family member home.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease
