Name: Xena
Animal ID: 562815
Gender: Female
Age: 14 years old
Breed: Pony
Height: 9.2hh
Adoption Fee: $300
Location: Houston
Adopter experience needed: Intermediate
Training level: Halter broke
Current assessment and personality: Xena is a sweet yet sassy pony that would do great in a forever home that will give her the hands on that she needs. We have found out that Xena does not do well with other horses, big or small, in a smaller pasture and will need a bigger area if she will be housed with other horses. She is easy going however can be opinionated at times but has already made such a huge improvement with daily hands on!
Potential: No limitations
Health/lameness: A biopsy was done to find out she has sun damage to her 3rd eyelid therefore we recommend keeping a fly mask on her when turned out in the sun. This does not effect her.
Loads and Trailers: Yes
Leads: Yes
Catch in pasture: Yes in a smaller pasture however sometimes in a bigger pasture.
Stands for farrier: Yes
Ties: Yes
Bathes: She is not a fan of baths but allows.
**Horses can be seen by appointment only following review and approval of an equine and farm animal adoption application. If you are interested in visiting this horse or any others, please submit a completed application and we will contact you by e-mail as soon as possible.
