My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Nessie, a 5-year-old, 3-pound bundle of love wrapped in soft, gray curls. This petite poodle mix is happiest curled up on your lap or snuggling beside you on the couch. Outgoing and social, Nessie adores people and is a joy to be around. She’s also friendly and playful with other dogs, though she’s not quite as fond of cats. Don’t let her size fool you—Nessie is full of spunk and isn’t shy about sharing her thoughts! She’s making great strides in her house training, has a healthy appetite, and sleeps soundly through the night. Nessie would do best in a home with older children who can respect her small size. If you’re looking for a pocket-sized queen to add to your family, Nessie is the one!

Go meet their pets

Since we are a small foster home based rescue we very rarely hold adoption events. We mostly have meet and greets to approved adopters. On the rare occasion we may bring a dog or so out to an event however we do not allow on event site adoptions.

More about this rescue

The mission of our small foster home based 501C3 organization is to rescue homeless dogs with no hope; especially those living in inhumane conditions. Whether it's dogs in cramped, dirty puppy mill cages, barbaric international dog meat farms, hoarding situations or those living in the streets and shelters - we give them a brand new lease on life. Wagging Tails Dog Rescue NY provides all the dogs we save with appropriate veterinary care, loving foster homes and adopt them out to caring and responsible forever homes.
