My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Stasia and I'm about 1 1/2 years old. I'm a pretty grey tabby but some silvery highlights. My photos don't capture my beauty. I look too serious. I'm actually camera shy. I always wonder why my foster Mom takes so many pictures of us kitties. So, to see my prettiness I guess you're going to have to meet me.

When you meet me, you will meet the most confident and friendliest kitty of them all. I love affection and people. I like to be around you all the time especially when you are cooking or working on your computer. I'm very curious - my foster Mom calls me nosy. Sure, I'm nosy but that's how I become smart. See, I'm not just a beauty but I'm a smart cookie!

I've been around dogs and I've learned some of their traits. No, I don't bark but when I see something that I need to alert my foster Mom I let out a little growl. One day Amazon was delivering and it was dark outside. I saw him because of my penetrating cat eyes so I let my foster mom know someone's on the porch. She calls me her watch kitty. I think I was growling because 1) there's a box on the porch and I must play with it or 2) I'm alerting her to something new. I think both.

Speaking of play - I love to play! I love to play with other cats and my toys. I like to help other foster kitties that are shy or scared to come out of hiding. I tell them in my silent way "just watch me and I can show you how much fun being a cat is." I have a friend in my foster home. Her name is Linguini (she's also looking for a forever home). When we came to our foster home Linguini hid so I helped Linguini get out of hiding. I first hid with her which is not me. I don't hide but I just was soothing Linguini and then next day we were both out playing. I must have that knack.

I make my foster Mom laugh every day. My pictures may look serious but I like to be silly.

I love to play chase with the other cats. My silly trick is I run around and then slide under a rug so they can't find me. I then jump out and I'm the Chaser. If nobody wants to play with me that's ok, I then find a little ball or even better - when a dog drops their kibble, I play with that. It goes under my favorite rug and there I am again hiding and then jumping out.

I like laundry day. I like when my foster Mom is in between in folding towels. Towels straight from the dryer is my nap place.

Quiet time, I'm hanging out in a cat tree or a bed with other fur-babies. I'm good with dogs too.

I like the days when the doors & windows are open, and I can feel the fresh air. I never want to go outside but I like to look out the door or window. I like looking out the front door and watch the birds or squirrels eat. I stand on my 2 back legs like a dog does and checkout what they are doing. Maybe when I look out the front door, I'm looking for my forever family to come meet me or maybe that Amazon guy for more boxes.

Are you my forever Mom or Dad? I hope so and I hope we can meet soon!

xoxo,

**Note on fleas** Those sneaky little critters can hitch a free ride into your home aboard another pet, person, or even rodent, so it is important to make sure your new pet is protected. Depending on the time frame your adoptable pet has been in our foster care it might have had just 1 dose – which is not enough. Please consult with your Vet on putting your new adoptable pet on yearly flea/tick prevention – even if they are an indoor pet.

Adoption fees:

Puppies/Dogs - $400
Seniors - $275

**Some dog breeds require additional vetting which leads to an adoption fee to not adhere to the pricing guideline above. There are many circumstances where an adoptable pet has an adoption fee that varies from above schedule due to their vetting needs while in our foster care.

Cats & Kittens - $150

**Treasured Animal Rescue highly recommends adopting kittens in pairs, to avoid any potential behavioral issues like biting, scratching and not using the litter box. Also, adopting 2 kittens lessens stress on the tiny kitten which provides a healthier transition. **

Go meet their pets

All our Treasured Gems are located in our foster homes. The location is noted in their individual profiles. We do not have a facility or shelter for meetings. Treasured Animal Rescue is not able to adopt out of the State of Illinois. Puppy/kitten adoptions must be close to our current Vet Clinics due to their spay/neutering. A Volunteer can advise of our Vet Clinic locations.

In each of our foster pets profiles it will state if they are good with dogs, cats or children. Please note what we experience in our foster home may differ completely in a potential Adopters homes. A TAR foster parent can give much insight on their foster pet as they live in their home just like their own pets.
