We adopted a 9 month old Great Dane 6 weeks ago from a shelter (he had been owner surrendered due to owners losing house and moving). We had hoped he would be a bff for our English Mastiff but she is not a fan and we are now looking to find the perfect family for sweet Ivar.
He is 100% Great Dane (no papers but did Embark DNA testing and he also came back with no tested genetic issues), he is piebald with I think they call it tan points, neutered, microchipped and has a wonderful, friendly personality. Listens really, really well, leash trained, crate trained, knows multiple commands. He loves going on walks, drives and pupcups are his favorite! He is great with children and dogs, N/A for cats. Definitely not taking him back to a shelter and don’t want to have him go into another home to be fostered and have to adjust multiple times. We just want to find the perfect family for this precious guy!
