My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Geneva and Geneseo are an adorable bonded pair who MUST be adopted TOGETHER! Their story is a familiar one in the rescue world - their owner’s unfixed kitten had kittens, and she reached out to us to get the help these two precious babies needed to thrive.

Geneva has crazy markings! Two white spots in the larger tabby spot on her back, a tabby spot that runs down her nose, a very light spot under her chin near her neck, and a spot on each rear leg that sometimes look like a heart when she lays just right. She is so well-behaved and like a little angel! She is more reserved at first but will climb on her foster mom’s chest or shoulder purring and excited to be held. She loves to be held and snuggled! She is very laid back. She loves her brother Geneseo and she cries when he is not in her sight.

Geneseo has a beautiful fluffy coat! He’s white under and tabby on top, except he has one tabby spot on one of his front legs. His personality is the complete opposite of his sister - his foster mom calls him the wild monster boy! He wants to climb to the highest point, escape, and play. He LOVES to play! Once you have tired him out, he will snuggle in your lap, giving you kisses and purring, finally ready for a nap.

They haven’t been around other cats, dogs, or kids, and they’re not used to chaos, so they’d do best in a quiet home.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We have an adoption application to learn a bit about the home our cats will be going to and the family's motivation for adoption and expectations about pet ownership. We also have an adoption contract, which includes a no declawing and indoor-only clause along with a vet promissory note that ensures you will continue with the medical care and spay/neuter if needed.

We DO NOT do any out of state adoptions except on the NC border on a case-by-case basis.

We require a donation of $120 for adoption of unaltered kittens with a PTV Contract. All kittens receive vaccine series and wormings as well as medical treatment as needed. The adopter is responsible for obtaining their rabies vaccine and spay/neuter if the kitten is not of age at the time of adoption. We can provide resources for low cost clinics that offer these services.

We ask a donation of $25 to adopt Career/barn cats.

We require a donation of at least $140 for adoption of Spayed/neutered cat.

Bonded pairs adoption donation is $200.

Sometimes we require rental checks or home inspections. We always have a Meet n Greet to make sure everyone gets along. We encourage bringing the whole family!

More about this rescue

Our mission is to improve the lives of displaced cats and reduce feral cat population in Hampton Roads by socializing outdoor-born and feral kittens for adoption into loving forever homes. We are a VDACS registered 501c3 nonprofit, founded in 2014 with over 60 foster homes.

Our heart is in TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return of ferals), where cats are fixed, vaccinated, ear tipped, and allowed to live out their lives without reproducing. We are advocates for advancing legal and social acceptance of TNR in Hampton Roads. Our unique feral kitten socialization program has a 90% success rate in socializing feral-born kittens to become loving, in-home pets.

We are always seeking fosters, volunteers, transporters, and trappers to join our team!

We also appreciate donations! Find our most needed items
