My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tuile was part of a huge rescue where 187 guinea pigs were found in one home. Lost Woods ended up with 25 of these piggies. They all need patience and time when it comes to handling as they clearly weren't handled much in their previous situation, but they have come a long way already since rescue.
Tuile is a territorial teenage male who hasn't accepted any potential bondmates yet. He might do fine as a single pig. Single pigs need lots of human attention and a high-traffic area of the home to live in.https://www.lostwoodsas.com/adoption-application

Go meet their pets

We are currently open by appointment only to see all the pets, but we frequently appear at farmer's markets and other local events with adoptable animals.

More about this shelter

We are a specialty rescue for small exotic pets, such as reptiles and small mammals. We were formed by two women who met working at a nature center. In their interactions with the public they noticed a need in the area for a rescue that specialized in exotic pets, as well as a value in public education. Lost Woods Animal Sanctuary was formed with the mission to reduce mistreatment and abandonment of animals through rescue and rehoming, as well as educational outreach.
