My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hi to Dea

She and Dante were found on the side of the road. Dea stayed with Dante till help arrived. After checking out her minor injuries, she was cleared by the vet.

Since then she has really opened up. She is still a bit timid at first, but she really loves to be around people all the time. You can call her name and watch her flop over for belly rubs. She’s content with a fluffy blanket, but if you let her, she’ll sleep in bed with you .

Dea is a female chihuahua estimated at 2 years old. She gets along with all sized dogs and humans, however we are unsure about cats. She is current on vaccines, microchipped and spayed. Dispite their story, she is not bonded to Dante, and she’s ready to find her own furever family.

Please complete an adoption application at www.pathwaysforpaws.com. If she fits your family and lifestyle, you will be contacted within 48 hours.

Additional adoption info

In some circumstances, meeting the dog and a home check are done at the same time if the dog is ready to be adopted. We do have conversation with potential adopters prior to them meeting the dog. If they are interested in adopting a puppy who is not ready for adoption (not altered, not UTD, etc) they are able to put a hold on the pup until ready for adoption.

More about this rescue

Pathways for Paws was founded in October 2019. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, animal welfare organization.

Our mission is to make spay/neuter & vaccinations affordable to those in our communities. By achieving this, we will help prevent the neglect & abuse of dogs. All dogs in our care are spay/neutered, given the age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before going to their FURever families.

We work with rescues & fellow animal advocates to continue growing a network of volunteers and supporters.
