My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Froggy

Froggy is officially searching for his forever home. When frog first arrived to us his prognosis was poor, his foster mom planned on keeping him forever. BUT Frog has been in foster care and thriving for 22 weeks now, and despite going back and forth with herself - his foster mom decided she would like him to find his forever home.

Froggy
10 months old
Not neutered
Male
Pitbull mix

Froggy is a special boy and will require a special home. He has spinal trauma and congenital abnormalities that have caused him to be incontinent of bowel and bladder. Froggy wears diapers and a belly band. Frog loves bath time and is well acclimated to wearing his diapers/belly bands and his routine.

Froggy is a healthy, happy, thriving boy.

His favorite past times are:
- taking up the entire bed at night
- running through the house with a toy in his mouth
- being with his people

Froggy LOVES other dogs. Of all sizes and ages.

Froggy is crated while his mom works, and has free run of the house when she’s home. Anyone who’s had the pleasure of meeting him knows that he has his own special gait and he hops around. Froggy does stairs in his foster home no problem. He is good both on and offleash. He has never met any kitty friends but we think he would love them as he loves everything and everyone he meets.

Finding the right home for him is our upmost concern and he will remain with his foster mom until/when we find the right fit.

Additional adoption info

A potential adopter must submit an adoption application, which will then be reviewed by a volunteer. The volunteer will then call the listed veterinary reference and two additional personal references. After a reference check is complete, a volunteer will schedule an interview and home check with the potential adopters. If everything checks out the application will then be approved. The adopter will then be able to sign up to meet a foster dog that they are interested in. If they have another resident dog, a meet and greet will be required.

More about this rescue

At Allie & Pals Rescue, we strive to set all dogs up for success in the safest and most caring homes. We advocate for animal training, in order to help bridge the gap between owner knowledge and rescue dog behavior. Our mission is to assist in decreasing the euthanasia rates amongst shelters locally and nation-wide. Our rescue was started up by a group of dog lovers! In 2021, we saw the amount of homeless dogs that desperately needed families of their own, so we all came together with a mission to help. Our volunteers come from all different backgrounds, which allows us to put everyone's experiences to good use.
