My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Currently located in Appling Ga

G2- was an Identical feral brother of a cat that had showed up one day with a litter of kittens. He was always fighting. One day he shows up all bloody and limping. He hopped around for a week or so just to eat with my Barn cat colony. And one rainy night as I was coming home, he stopped right in front of my car in the road near my driveway and didn’t move.  He looked tired and defeated. I coaxed him back to my house and trapped him in a carrier crate and took him to the vet first thing the next morning. He was neutered and examined. Vet said he really was banged up but should recover… I kept him in an indoor catio as I was not sure about a feral running loose in my house…But he took to a litter box immediately the hand swats became fewer and less violent but he was still limping. We went back to the vet for an X-ray and discovered he had been shot and he had a buckshot lodged in his “wrist” joint. That was the cause of the constant limp. We got him some pain pills  and he was using it more and more as he was healing. We were told that pain meds would be the solution as he ages. This beautiful grey long haired boy is now a lovely lap cat. I do have to monitor his food as he has gained a bit of weight not having to hunt for his meals and he eats as if every meal will be his last! He gets along great with kittens. Plays well and lets them run all over him like a grandpa. But- his Alpha male peeps out with adult cats.  And he always comes out on top!
Note: I think he has a bit of PTSD as he is frightened if he hears a loud noise or someone touches him while he is sleeping. He jumps and it takes him a second to figure out what’s happening! He is big and beautiful. He deserves a home where he can thrive yet rule! Not sure how he gets along with dogs.  But will always need a good brushing!!!!
