My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Olivia is a very friendly and very pretty tortoiseshell girl. She likes to jump up into the lap of her foster mom and will sit with her and purr, sometimes crawling up onto her chest. She was surrendered with 3 siblings, from an unwanted pregnacy. Olivia enjoys playing with her fellow foster kittens, chasing and wrestling. She will make a sweet family pet, or a good companion for a single person. She has not been around dogs, but is young enough to adapt.

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
