Meet Dasher – Your New Best Friend!
Say hello to Dasher, an adorable 8-month-old Spitz (we think he might be part fox, part heartbreaker)! With his snowy white fur, large pointed ears, and a cute pink-and-black nose, he looks just like a tiny arctic fox. At only 11 pounds, he’s the perfect size for cuddles – which is great because Dasher loves to cuddle.
Dasher is deaf and has just a bit of vision in one eye—enough to follow you around and be by your side. When you meet him, you’d never guess he’s deaf and mostly blind because he’s such a happy, well-adjusted pup. He’s a champ on the leash, happily sticking close and even showing off his polite “sit” and “down” whenever you pause.
Dasher gets along well with both small and large dogs, although he’s generally more interested in being with his people than playing with other dogs. He’s low-energy for his age and just needs gentle walks and plenty of cozy time. He’d be a wonderful companion for an older person or couple, or a family with older kids who’ll appreciate his calm, easygoing nature. He would thrive in a home with someone who works from home, as he loves being near his people.
He’s also learning to sleep through the night in his crate and has had no accidents in the house while staying with his foster family! He enjoys a good game of tug and chasing after balls, but he’s happiest when he’s simply with his people, whether you’re out on a walk or relaxing at home.
If you’re ready for a gentle, loyal companion with a heart of gold, Dasher could be the perfect match.
