My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max
4 year old neutered male
Good with cats, dogs
Lived as a house dog
Adoption fee is sponsored. $0
From Max's foster 12/1/2024
Max is a sweet almost 4yo male black lab. He had previously lived in an apartment with very little human or dog interaction. He did live with a cat and seemed to co-exist nicely. Since living in his foster home he has learned how to play with other dogs and really enjoys wrestling with his husky fur-sister. He also has a really big fur-brother and has learned how to play with him also. Max loves his human and will sleep right by their side during the night. He will also hang out near you all day. It would be nice for Max to have another dog for companionship and to help with his loneliness. His foster mom does not crate him when she is gone but he is confined to the dogs room where the other dogs are kenneled. He has not gotten into any trouble being loose during the day and is potty trained. If he is kenneled he does tend to whine and bark to let you know that he is not happy.
Max has some long legs putting his head almost at counter height. That nose will sniff out any food you may have left sitting out. Are you an experienced dog owner and willing to spend some time teaching Max some new tricks -- like Sit, Stay, Down, Off, Come? He is food motivated and should catch on quick showing you that you can teach an old dog new tricks!!
Max is neutered, up to date on his shots, microchipped and ready to come hang out with you for the low adoption fee of $0.00!!! Yes his adoption fee has been sponsored by an amazing sponsor!!!____Please Note: We ask that an application be filled out before coming to the shelter. If pre approved, a meeting with the animal will be set up.
