My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Delilah, a sweet and loving 23-pound Heeler who’s looking for her forever home. At around 10 months to a year old, Delilah is the perfect mix of playful and calm—she’s not the high-strung, super intense type you might expect from a Blue Heeler. Instead, she’s a total love bug with a medium energy level, making her a great companion for a variety of households.

Delilah is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to join your family. She’s fantastic with other dogs and has been great around kids, making her an ideal fit for a home with other pets or little ones. She’s also not mouthy, so you don’t have to worry about her being nippy or overly rambunctious.

If you’re looking for a sweet, well-adjusted dog who will love you unconditionally, Delilah could be the one for you. To make her a part of your family, please apply for adoption at https://peace4paws.org/adoption-application.

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
