My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Goldie is a stunning orange tabby. She was in an overcrowded house along with her brother, Christopher, and her daughter, Stacey. Goldie has had four litter in the past and was an amazing mom, but it's her time to have some peace and quiet. She is a very sweet and docile girl. Unfortunately, some of the resident cats at her foster home have not been very welcoming. With that being said, a quiet house with another calm cat or her brother, Christopher, would be ideal. She tolerates her daughter, Stacey, but only for a short time.

Goldie loves wet food (pate style) which is why her foster mom calls her Potato; she's a little round. She likes attention but will play hard to get, then puts her paw out for some love. Goldie is making progress being comfortable being held; she just tends to get squirmy.

A quiet house would be best for Goldie.

Goldie was born around March 24, 2022. She is currently being fostered in Waterbury. He is fixed, is up-to-date on shots, is microchipped and tested neg for FIV/FeLV*.

All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.

Applications for adoption can be found at https://www.fosterandforever.org/

Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24 - 48 hrs.

Meet the Pet

We are a foster-based rescue. All our cats reside in private homes. A meet-and-greet can be arranged for approved adopters only.

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.fosterandforever.org. If all is well on your application, we will contact you about setting up a home visit by one of our volunteers.

**Please give your vet permission to release information to us as we check references.

The adoption fee for our cats covers the cost of spaying/neutering, age appropriate routine vaccinations, deworming, snap test, and flea preventive treatment. Some of our older cats are offered at a reduced fee in order to encourage placement in a permanent home.

Thank you for your interest in adopting from Foster and Forever Pet Rescue!

NOTE: For the safety of our cats and adopter’s children, families with children under 5 years of age will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Go meet their pets

All of our pets reside in foster homes. We do not have a shelter. Once an application is approved (for any cat), arrangements can be made to meet the cat of your choice.

More about this rescue

Foster and Forever Pet Rescue Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue that was founded in 2011. We have been working since then to improve the lives of abandoned, abused and homeless animals by serving as an umbrella under which foster homes will provide care for homeless animals until loving permanent homes can be found.

We provide spay/neuter services and all necessary medical care, as well as food and supplies, and find foster homes to care for the animals we rescue until we are able to find them forever homes. For additional information, visit our web site at www.fosterandforever.org, and be sure to check us out on Facebook and Instagram.
