Jolee is a tiny bundle of sweet and loving fun. She loves to snuggle and play with her toys- she has given those puppy/shark teeth quite a workout! Jolee has spent her short life around other dogs and her ideal home would include a big fur brother or big fur sister to show her the ropes. She is also accepting of her human foster sister, but disappointed at the lack of excitement that a 10-month old baby brings. Jolee is much more excited at the prospect of treats and food and possibly older children that can interact with her more; preferably by giving her treats.
If you are interested in adopting Jolee, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to our
online adoption application. Jolee's adoption fee is $700**
All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Jolee will go to his / her new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, up to date on vaccinations, and with all other medical needs addressed.
Almost every dog's veterinary expense is greater than our adoption fees; we are non-profit.
**Jolee is a Legacy Dog. Legacy Dogs are highly adaptable dogs that can assist other dogs in our rescue with their vetting bills.
Legacy dogs have a much higher desirability quotient. They're young, healthy and usually purebreds. These dogs leave a financial legacy for those animals who need extra help - whether they need extensive medical care or just a little more time to find a loving home.
(And they still cost less than going to a breeder!)
DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group. We focus on the metro Atlanta area and can assist throughout the state of Georgia.
Since our rescue is entirely run and staffed by volunteers, our ability to travel long distances for adoptions is somewhat limited. We focus on Georgia, but if you are in a neighboring state, we might be able to work something out - we'll expect you to do your part.
DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
