My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BRUTUS is a gorgeous little gray male tabby kitten with darker gray and black marbling, yellow-green eyes, and white highlights on his belly and tail. He's a bigger boy, and he'll likely be a large, handsome cat. He can be reserved but he also has spurts of playful energy. He loves to cuddle and be pet, but he likes his own space sometimes, too. Brutus loves to chase after string toys and laser pointers. He finds interest in just about anything (such as cardboard or little bits of garbage). Overall, Brutus is a playful cat who loves to relax and have quality time with his humans. Brutus was born into our cat rescue group from a mama kitty who came into our care. He's a beautiful boy who is quick to love and is always on the lookout for cuddles once he's comfortable.

BRUTUS has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.

Go meet their pets

Our cats can be seen at Petsmart on Chad Drive and on Willamette St, at Petco near Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd, seven days a week during normal business hours. We do have adoption counselors available on weekends or by appointment or from 12:30-2:30pm, Sat.-Sun.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
