Meet ARES, a delightful pup brimming with energy, intelligence, and charm!
With his soft apricot coat and graceful, lion-like stride, Ares is as handsome as he is affectionate. When he sees you, he wiggles his entire body telling you just how excited he is to be by your side. A true cuddle bug, he loves cozying up for TV time and thrives on being close to his favorite humans. Ares is a social butterfly who adores playing with other dogs, though he’s still learning how to share his toys! He would do wonderfully in a home with other dogs his size, where he could play to his heart’s content. Ares is already doing well on leash walks and is mostly housebroken, with only the occasional puppy slip-up. As with any young dog, Ares is still learning his manners, like sticking to his toys for chewing and avoiding the temptation of counters, but he's a quick study! He already knows commands like "sit" and "down," and he’s making great progress on "stay." He also now knows to wait patiently for treats and not take them from the other dogs.A home with a fenced yard would be ideal for Ares, as he loves to bring his toys outside for playtime. All he wants is to be loved, be part of a happy pack, and be your loyal companion. Ares is ready to bring endless joy and affection into his forever home.
Please Note:
*Must have a FENCED-IN yard!*
**No children under 10!**

More about this rescue
Somerset Cottage Poodle Rescue, established in 2013, is an all volunteer 501c(3) dog rescue funded by your donations. We rescue companion and senior dogs, at risk for euthanasia, from overcrowded shelters and provide them with the medical attention they need. We also redone dogs for owners who can no longer care for them. We do not have a facility so all of our dogs live in foster homes through out the Northern Virginia area until their adoption day. We are proud that we find them perfectly matched forever homes and families. We rescue and find permanent homes for approximately 250 dogs a year.
