Say hello to Landon (and he may just say something back to you!) We estimate that he is only 3 years old and it breaks our heart to know he's already had some really tough times. When he was thrown out by his owners in 2023, this orange tabby boy fortunately wandered to a property that led to being trapped by Forgotten Cats. Because he is an outgoing and sweet guy, he was quickly adopted, named Landon (he also answers to Handsome), and relocated to Massachusetts. Sadly, after about a year, his owner passed away, leaving Landon back at square one. This savvy guy made his way outside and was cared for by neighbors in the apartment complex. He was about to be surrendered when Forgotten Cats heard about the situation and a generous volunteer picked him up and drove him back to PA.
Landon loves to lounge on ANYTHING! Throws, beds, windowsills and furniture. He also enjoys chasing toys and being talked to. Volunteers who are caring for him describe him as a “mushball “and a love bug. He adores being pet and can be picked up, though at 17 lbs, he's a lot to handle. When he's had enough, he will playfully give love nibbles and just lay near you.
Landon has always been an only cat and would thrive in a household with adults that can give shower him with love. He has had a tough time adjusting to being back in the shelter, but is once again the affectionate purr machine that originally captured his owner’s heart. We do not know how he would respond to dogs.
