Baxter is male, 5 year old English Springer Spaniel.
He is outgoing and loves to meet everyone with happy enthusiasm. His nub tail is always wagging. He is looking for a person to take the lead. He does very well with structure and leadership and wants to please. He is in need of a basic obedience refresher and is a very attentive student, especially if food is involved. He does know sit and down and has a good at recall.
Baxter would love a yard to take all of the smells and play with tennis balls- his favorite toy. He also enjoys walks and being a social butterfly with humans old and young.
Baxter is not really sure of himself around other dogs and prefers to seek interaction from humans. Baxter is not a trouble starter and has visited dog parks but does shy away from dogs who approach. He may be most comfortable as an only dog but is open to a meet and greet.
Baxter was housebroken and crate trained in his foster home, but he will need to learn your routine. He would do best in a home with teenagers.
If you are interested in Baxter and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!
*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
