Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shelly here is all about balance! If you are looking for a dog that loves to run and play just as much as she loves to snuggle up on your lap, here she is! Shelly is a playful, confident, loving girl and the epitome of a lap dog, a small, love-seeking cutie who fits perfectly and loves to be in your lap, with a perfect amount of ready, set, go! Take a look then come back to read more- https://youtu.be/Rl15_9Mnf_o
Shelly is estimated to be 1 year old and weighs a full-grown 11 lbs. Our observation tells us she is possibly a Chihuahua/ Miniature Pinscher mix. Of course, given she is a rescue we cannot guarantee breed or age but we do guarantee cuteness and lovability! She is currently fostered in a bustling home with lots of other dogs, big and small, puppies to the mature elders and she is great with them all. Naturally gravitating to the playful ones who love a round of chase or the endless search for the perfect stick. And although she is small, she is not delicate, if the big dogs want to play rough and tumble she isn’t running away, she can match them and loves to wrestle the big dogs into submission. A home with other pets, dogs or cats, would be great for Shelly. She was very respectful when she met our house cat, we were so impressed by her respect for his boundaries and he almost completely indifferent interest in him.
Thanks to her size, great on-leash skills and quiet nature, Shelly is perfectly suited for apartment/condo/ house with a yard life, she will fir right in. Her foster has shared that she is both house and crate trained, listens beautifully when called, coming every time unless she is ready to play a silly game of catch-me-if-you can that starts with her dancing at your feet and is always in good fun. A home where she is able to be active and playful each day, with guaranteed cuddles and plenty of family time is her dream.
If you have any questions about Shelly or the adoption process, email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions or make the first move by filling out an application! Don’t hesitate, these little well-rounded cuties do not stay available for long.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:
Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family
Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
