My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kovu and Memphis have left the animal Control building. They are a bonded pair that were turned into a local Animal Control in April. They’re super sweet. Kovu has never met a stranger. Memphis warms up fast. Kovu is 12 years old and Memphis is 5. They are listed as husky malamute mix and they are very tall but both very thin. We are looking for a Foster or Adopter that can keep the pair together.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The way the adoption works is you complete an application, which we review. If you have had previous pets (like a cat or other dogs) we do a vet check to ensure they are up to date on shots etc. Then the last step is a home visit to basically ensure there are no obvious dangers for the dog in the home. The fee is $100.

More about this rescue

Releashed Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing working dogs from high-kill shelters, rehabilitating those that need training and rehoming them into permanent loving homes.

Releashed Rescue will provide food, shelter, basic necessities, medical treatment including shots and spay or neuter, and work to train any animal going through our program. Our goal is to find the right family to love and care for the animals for their lifetime.

Releashed Rescue has a vision of a world where animals are not killed because they are inconvenient. Instead, we hope to educate the public about pet over-population, spay , neuter, humane treatment of animals and how animals can enrich the lives of people including the elderly, children and those with disabilities.
