Lucius is a handsome long haired fellow with a unique coat hard to capture in a photo! Bounced around within a family for 11 years, Lucius was set to be reclaimed by a family member when he entered the shelter, only to be "ghosted" and betrayed by his so-called family once again! Despite it all, he is so gentle and sweet, easy to handle, and an overall very good natured boy. He is an easygoing companion and isn't picky about where he spends his retirement years, as long as he can get some gentle pets and lots of treats!
Lucius has hyperthyroid, a condition managed with a daily medication. He takes it very nicely! Please inquire for more details about Lucius needs.

We ask all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application which allows us to check certain points of reference (vets, home ownership status, previous pets, etc). If the application looks good, the adopter signs the adoption contract which states, among other things, the animal(s) will have a permanent home with said adopter and if for any reason this becomes impossible, the animal must be returned to Four Legs Good. Four Legs Good reserves the right to place a follow-up phone call or visit, with notice, within the first year of adoption.

Four Legs Good is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing the most humane treatment of Rockland County animals in need. We started as a small group of dedicated volunteers who decided to make a difference in the lives of feral, homeless and abandoned animals. We are currently working out of the RG CARES Animal Shelter.
