My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! I’m Kayak, and I like to paddle through life on the calm side. I’m always in purr-suit of the coziest spot by the window, where I can safely cat-ch all the sights without making waves. Before I dive into any situation, I like to make sure it’s smooth sailing—because who wants to capsize in a sea of chaos? Catnip? Oh, I’m hooked on that! I roll around like a kayaker hitting the rapids, but when it comes to playtime, I’d rather coast along with some good petting instead. I’m a chill guy, not too fussy about food, and while I don’t cause a ruckus with my meals, I definitely appreciate them! Other cats? No problem, I don’t rock the boat. Dogs? Yet to meet one, but I’m ready to paddle through that when the time comes! So, if you’re ready to row into a life of cuddles and calm, I’m ready to be your first-mate in this adventure!

Go meet their pets

We will be holding adoption event days with PetSmart on Ft Jackson Blvd and Two Notch Rd as well as PetSense on Garners Ferry Rd. These are partnerships that we've initiated and that have been greeted with open arms by these great organizations. MUCH More to Come!

More about this rescue

At Cat Around Town Project, we believe that by spaying and neutering as many stray and colony cats as possible, we are proactively controlling overpopulation at its source. All kittens and any cats that are adoptable are removed from the colonies and adopted to suitable homes. One day, when the supply meets the demand, there will be a home waiting for every kitten in our community. .
