My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tyson is a 1-year-old Dachshund mix weighing in at a compact 11.4 pounds. This little guy may be small, but he’s got a whole lot of love to give! Tyson is working on his house-training skills and will need a patient family to help him perfect them. He adores other dogs and enjoys cozying up to his foster sister for cuddle sessions. At a recent adoption event, Tyson was a natural with kids, so he'd likely fit right in with a family that includes young humans.

Tyson is described as friendly, shy, and adaptable. His foster parents say he's a smart boy who just needs a bit of time to understand his family’s routine. Tyson is great in his crate, but he would much prefer a lap or a cozy spot beside you in bed. He’s a calm pup, not particularly playful, but he does enjoy a chew toy when he’s feeling bored. Mostly, Tyson just wants to be near his people and shower them with kisses. And don't forget the tummy rubs – he can't get enough of those!

If you're looking for a gentle, quiet companion who’ll be your little shadow, Tyson may be the hot dog for you! His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
